How To Delete Files From OneDrive?

Open OneDrive in a web browser or the OneDrive app

Sign in to your Microsoft account

Find the file or folder you want to delete

Select the file or folder

Click or tap Delete

Confirm the deletion if prompted

To delete multiple items, select all desired files or folders first, then choose Delete

To remove files from your device without deleting them from OneDrive, use Free up space or Remove from device instead

To permanently delete files, open the OneDrive Recycle Bin and choose Empty recycle bin or delete items there individually

To restore deleted files, open the OneDrive Recycle Bin and select Restore

To delete files shared with you, remove them from your OneDrive view if available, or ask the owner to delete them
