Select the file in Finder
Press Command + Delete
Open Trash from the Dock
Click Empty in the top-right corner of Trash
Confirm Empty Trash
Right-click a file and choose Move to Trash
Drag the file to the Trash icon in the Dock
Use File > Move to Trash in Finder
Select multiple files and press Command + Delete
Right-click Trash and choose Empty Trash
Use Option + Command + Delete to empty Trash immediately
Use Terminal command rm filename
Use Terminal command rm -r foldername
