Open Instagram and tap the search icon
Tap the search bar
Tap the X next to a recent search suggestion to remove it
To clear all recent searches, tap See All
Tap Clear All
Confirm by tapping Clear All again
To remove a single suggestion from typed search history, press and hold the suggestion if available, then tap Hide or Remove
On iPhone, you can also go to your profile, tap the menu, tap Your activity, tap Recent searches, and clear them there
On Android, you can also go to your profile, tap the menu, tap Your activity, tap Recent searches, and clear them there
If suggestions still appear, log out and log back in, then check again
