How to Delete Recent Files in Windows 10?

Open File Explorer

Click Quick access

Under Recent files, right-click a file and select Remove from Quick access

To clear all recent files, open File Explorer

Click the View tab

Click Options

In the General tab, under Privacy, click Clear

Uncheck Show recently used files in Quick access if you want to stop showing them

Click Apply

Click OK

Open Settings

Go to Personalization

Click Start

Turn off Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on Start or the taskbar and in File Explorer if needed
