Empty the water tank and capsule container
Remove any used capsule
Fill the water tank with Nespresso descaling solution and water according to the product instructions
Place a container of at least 1 liter under the coffee outlet
Turn on the machine and close the head
Enter descaling mode according to your Vertuo model’s button sequence
Press the button to start the descaling cycle
Let the solution run through the machine
Refill the water tank with clean water
Run the rinse cycle with clean water
Repeat rinsing until the tank is empty
Exit descaling mode according to your Vertuo model’s button sequence
Wipe the machine clean and dry the drip tray and water tank
Refill the water tank with fresh water before use
