Fill the water tank with fresh water
Place a container (at least 14 oz / 400 ml) under the coffee outlet and milk spout (if present)
Empty and rinse the capsule container if needed
Power on the machine
Ensure no capsule is inside the machine
Press and hold the button for at least 3 seconds to enter descaling mode (button flashes)
Start the descaling cycle by pressing the button once (if prompted)
Allow the machine to dispense the descaling solution until the tank is empty
Rinse the water tank thoroughly
Fill the water tank with fresh water
Run the rinse cycle by following the flashing prompts and dispensing until the tank is empty
Empty the container and drip tray
Repeat the rinse cycle if the machine prompts for additional rinsing
When the machine indicates completion (lights steady or stops flashing), power off and then back on if required
Run one or more clean water-only brew cycles (no capsule) if any solution taste remains
