How To Do A Back Walkover?

Warm up your wrists, shoulders, back, hips, and legs

Practice a strong bridge and kickover position first

Stand tall with feet together and arms straight overhead

Keep your core tight and your chest open

Look slightly back while maintaining control

Sit your hips back and begin to arch into a backbend

Reach your hands toward the floor one at a time

Place your hands shoulder-width apart on the ground

Keep your arms straight and push through your shoulders

Kick one leg up and over with control

Follow with the second leg in a split motion

Keep your legs straight and pointed if possible

Land one foot at a time

Finish in a lunge with arms up

Stand up with control

Practice with a spotter or coach if needed
