Type the number or letter you want to exponentiate
Highlight the character or characters
Click Format
Select Text
Click Superscript
Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + . on Windows or Cmd + . on Mac
To turn off superscript, repeat the shortcut or uncheck Superscript in the Format menu
