Identify the device or system you want to reset
Back up important data (if applicable)
Sign out of accounts (if applicable)
If available, choose “Restart” first
If available, choose “Factory Reset” or “Reset to Default”
Use the reset method required by your device:
Settings menu: open Settings → System/General → Reset → Factory Data Reset → confirm
Hardware buttons: power off → press and hold the required button combo → release when the logo appears → navigate to Reset/Wipe → confirm
Recovery mode: enter recovery → select Wipe/Factory Reset → confirm
Confirm the reset when prompted
Wait for the reset to complete
Reboot the device
Set up the device again (language, Wi‑Fi, accounts)
Restore data from backup (if applicable)
