Click and hold the item you want to move
Keep holding the mouse button or trackpad click
Drag the item to the desired location
Release the mouse button or trackpad click to drop it
On a trackpad, use one finger to click and drag, or enable three-finger drag in Accessibility settings
To select multiple files, hold Command and click each item before dragging
To move items between folders, drag them into the target folder
To copy items while dragging, hold Option while dragging
To create an alias, hold Command and Option while dragging
To drag text, highlight the text, then click and drag the selection
To drag windows, click and hold the title bar, then move the window
If dragging is difficult, adjust trackpad settings in System Settings
