How to Dry Figs?

Wash the figs gently and remove any stems

Pat the figs completely dry with a clean towel

Cut large figs in half if desired

Arrange the figs in a single layer on a drying rack or tray

Place them in a dehydrator set to about 135°F to 145°F

Dry until they are leathery and no moisture remains inside

Or dry them in an oven at the lowest temperature with the door slightly open

Turn the figs occasionally for even drying

Let the dried figs cool completely

Store them in an airtight container in a cool, dry place
