How To Eat Guava?

Wash the guava under running water.

Cut the guava in half or into wedges.

Choose one:

Eat it with the skin after washing.

Peel it before eating.

Remove the hard seeds if desired by slicing around them or scooping them out.

Eat it by biting, or cut into bite-size pieces.

Optional: Sprinkle with salt, chili powder, lime juice, or sugar to taste.

Optional: Cut into chunks and eat with yogurt or fruit toppings.

Optional: Blend the flesh into juice or puree for smoothies.

If the guava is very firm, let it ripen at room temperature until fragrant and slightly soft.

Store ripe guava in the refrigerator in a sealed container for up to several days.

Freeze guava chunks or puree in airtight containers for longer storage.
