Open the PDF in the Files app, Mail, or Safari
Tap the Share button
Select Markup
Use the pen, highlighter, text, signature, or magnifier tools
Tap Done to save the changes
Open the PDF in the Books app
Tap the Markup icon to annotate it
Save the edited PDF
Use the Notes app to scan or import a PDF
Tap the PDF and choose Markup to edit it
Use a third-party app like Adobe Acrobat, PDF Expert, or Foxit PDF
Open the PDF in the app and use its edit tools
Save or export the updated PDF
Use the Files app to rename, move, duplicate, or share the PDF
Use a PDF editor app if you need to change text or images directly
