Check the laptop’s camera privacy shutter or physical switch and open it
Press the camera function key on the keyboard if your laptop has one
Open Windows Settings
Go to Privacy and security
Select Camera
Turn on Camera access
Turn on Let apps access your camera
Turn on access for the specific app you want to use
Open Device Manager
Expand Cameras or Imaging devices
Right-click the camera device
Select Enable device
Restart the laptop if the camera still does not work
Update the camera driver from Device Manager
Check the app’s own camera permissions
Test the camera in the Camera app or video call app
