Open the Google app or Google Assistant app
Sign in to your Google account
Tap your profile picture or initial
Go to Settings
Select Google Assistant
Turn on Google Assistant
Follow the on-screen setup prompts
Enable Voice Match if prompted
Grant microphone and other required permissions
Set Google as your default assistant if needed
On Android, go to Settings
Tap Apps or Apps & notifications
Open Default apps
Select Digital assistant app
Choose Google
On iPhone, install the Google Assistant app from the App Store
Open the app and sign in
Allow required permissions
Set up Voice Match if available
