Turn off power at the circuit breaker
Remove the old microwave if replacing one
Read the manufacturer’s installation template and instructions
Locate wall studs and the upper cabinet
Mark the mounting template on the wall
Drill the required holes for the mounting plate and power cord
Install the wall mounting plate securely
Prepare the upper cabinet for the support bolts
Set the microwave on a stable surface or have a helper ready
Lift the microwave into position
Hook the back of the microwave onto the wall mounting plate
Route the power cord through the cabinet opening
Align the top of the microwave with the cabinet holes
Insert and tighten the support bolts through the upper cabinet
Secure any additional fasteners or brackets provided
Install the grease filter and charcoal filter if required
Connect the venting system if using external venting
Plug in the microwave
Restore power at the circuit breaker
Test the microwave, light, fan, and turntable
Check that the unit is level and firmly mounted
