Turn the cheque over to the back side
Sign your name exactly as it appears on the front
Write any required bank details if instructed
Add “For deposit only” if depositing into your account
Add your account number if your bank requires it
Endorse the cheque only when you are ready to deposit or cash it
Use a pen with dark ink
Keep the signature within the endorsement area
Do not sign if the cheque is not yours to endorse
