Check whether the zipper is stuck on fabric, thread, or debris
Gently pull the fabric away from the zipper teeth
Use a pencil, soap, or zipper lubricant on the teeth
Slide the zipper back and forth slowly
If the zipper pull is loose, squeeze it gently with pliers
If the slider is misaligned, replace the zipper slider
If teeth are bent, straighten them carefully with pliers
If teeth are missing, replace the entire zipper
If the zipper separates after closing, tighten or replace the slider
