Align both sides of the zipper teeth evenly
Slide the zipper slider all the way down
Insert one side of the zipper tape into one side of the slider
Insert the other side of the zipper tape into the other side of the slider
Hold both zipper tapes together firmly
Pull the slider upward slowly to test the alignment
If the slider is off one side, remove it and try again
Use pliers to gently widen the slider if it is too tight
Use pliers to gently squeeze the slider if it is too loose
Reattach the zipper stop if it came off
Replace the slider if it is bent or broken
Check that the teeth interlock smoothly after reattaching
