Clean around the analog stick with compressed air

Move the stick in circles while spraying compressed air

Use a small amount of isopropyl alcohol on a cotton swab around the stick base

Gently rotate and press the stick while cleaning

Reset the controller using the small reset button on the back

Reconnect the controller to the PS5 with a USB cable

Update the controller firmware on the PS5

Adjust the deadzone settings in the game if available

Test the controller in multiple games to confirm the issue

Replace the analog stick module if cleaning does not help

Contact Sony support if the controller is under warranty

Replace the controller if the drift persists after repair attempts
