Complete Form VTR-34, Application for a Certified Copy of Title
Have the application notarized
Provide valid government-issued photo identification
Include the required fee
Submit the application to your county tax assessor-collector’s office or the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles
If there is a lien on the vehicle, contact the lienholder for title replacement requirements
If the vehicle is jointly owned, ensure all required owners sign the application
If mailing the application, send it to the appropriate TxDMV address
Wait for the certified copy of the title to be processed and mailed or issued
