Open the YouTube video
Click the three dots below the video or next to the title
Select Show transcript
View the transcript in the panel that appears
Copy the transcript text if needed
If Show transcript is not available, open the video in a browser and check the video description or settings
If no transcript option appears, use a third-party transcript tool or extension
For mobile, open YouTube in a browser if the app does not show transcript options
