Open the YouTube video
Click the three dots below the video or next to the title
Select Show transcript
If Show transcript is not visible, open the video on desktop or use a browser that supports it
Copy the transcript text from the transcript panel
If timestamps appear, turn them off if needed
If the transcript is unavailable, check whether captions are enabled for the video
Use YouTube Studio if you are the video owner to access captions or transcript files
Use third-party transcript tools only if needed and permitted
