Start the engine and turn on the defroster
Set the heat to warm, not hot
Turn on the front and rear defrost
Turn on the air conditioner to help remove moisture
Use a plastic card or old gift card to gently scrape ice
Spray a de-icer solution on the windshield
Make a de-icer spray with rubbing alcohol and water
Pour lukewarm water over the glass if needed
Use a microfiber cloth to wipe loosened ice
Cover the windshield the night before with a tarp or blanket
Lift windshield wipers before freezing weather
Prevent refreezing by clearing snow and moisture first
