Check that the printer is powered on
Make sure the printer is connected to Wi-Fi or Ethernet
Restart the printer
Restart the computer or mobile device
Turn the printer off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on
Confirm the printer is not in Airplane Mode or Offline Mode
Check that the correct printer is selected
Open the printer queue and clear any stuck print jobs
Set the printer as the default printer
Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor on Windows
Remove the printer from the device and add it again
Reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network
Check the router and modem connection
Move the printer closer to the router if using Wi-Fi
Update or reinstall the printer driver
Make sure the printer firmware is up to date
Check for paper jams or low ink alerts
Verify the printer has no error lights or messages
On Windows, disable Use Printer Offline
On Mac, reset the printing system if needed
Try printing a test page
Contact HP Support if the printer still shows offline
