Blot the stain immediately with a clean white cloth or paper towel
Do not rub the stain
Sprinkle salt on the stain to absorb excess wine
Rinse the back of the fabric with cold water
Apply liquid laundry detergent directly to the stain
Gently work the detergent into the fabric with your fingers
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Rinse thoroughly with cold water
Repeat if the stain remains
Wash the garment in cold water with color-safe detergent
Check that the stain is gone before drying
Air-dry the clothing
If needed, use a stain remover safe for colored fabrics before washing
