Rinse the stain immediately with cold water
Soak the fabric in cold water for 30 minutes
Gently rub liquid laundry detergent into the stain
Let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes
Rinse again with cold water
Apply hydrogen peroxide to white or colorfast fabrics
Blot with a clean cloth
Repeat as needed
Use a paste of baking soda and water for stubborn stains
Wash the clothing in cold water
Check that the stain is gone before drying
Repeat treatment before drying if needed
Avoid hot water
Avoid putting the item in the dryer until the stain is removed
