How to Get Rid of Gnats on Indoor Plants?

Let the top 1–2 inches of soil dry out between waterings

Remove standing water from saucers and trays

Water from the bottom when possible

Replace the top layer of soil with fresh, dry potting mix or sand

Use yellow sticky traps near the plants

Apply sticky traps directly to flying gnats

Treat the soil with BTI mosquito dunks or bits

Use a hydrogen peroxide and water soil drench

Repot the plant with fresh sterile potting mix if infestation is severe

Remove decaying leaves and plant debris from the soil surface
