Identify where the ants are entering and where they are gathering
Clean up crumbs, spills, and food residue immediately
Store food in sealed containers
Take out trash regularly and keep bins tightly closed
Wipe down counters, tables, and floors with soapy water or vinegar solution
Fix leaks and remove standing water
Seal cracks, gaps, and entry points around windows, doors, pipes, and baseboards
Vacuum ant trails and dispose of the vacuum contents outside
Use ant bait stations near trails and entry points
Replace bait as directed until activity stops
Apply ant-safe insecticide only if needed and follow label directions
Keep pet food sealed and do not leave it out overnight
Trim plants and remove debris touching the house
Treat outdoor entry areas and nesting spots if ants are coming from outside
Call a pest control professional if the infestation keeps returning
