Drink water slowly

Take an over-the-counter simethicone product if appropriate
Use an over-the-counter antacid if heartburn is also present
If constipation is the cause, increase fluids and consider a gentle laxative if appropriate
Seek medical care if bloating is severe, persistent, or comes with pain, vomiting, fever, or shortness of breath
