Use ear drops made for earwax softening
Put a few drops in the ear as directed on the package
Let the drops sit for the recommended time
Tilt your head to let the wax drain out
Rinse gently with warm water if the product allows it
Dry the outer ear with a clean towel
Repeat for a few days if needed and if directed
Do not use cotton swabs inside the ear canal
Do not use hairpins, keys, or other objects in the ear
Seek medical help if you have pain, hearing loss, drainage, dizziness, or a history of ear problems
