Harvest in the morning after dew dries
Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Cut stems from the top, taking no more than one-third of the plant at a time
Choose healthy, mature stems with plenty of leaves
Snip just above a leaf node or branching point
Avoid cutting into old woody stems
Harvest regularly to encourage bushier growth
Rinse the stems if needed and shake off excess water
Strip leaves from stems if using fresh or for drying
Dry stems in small bundles in a cool, dark, well-ventilated place
Store dried rosemary in an airtight container away from light and heat
