Open Instagram
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Select Settings and privacy
Tap Messages and story replies
Tap Show activity status
Turn off Show activity status
To hide your online status from others, keep this setting off
Note that you also won’t be able to see others’ activity status when this is off
