Turn off Show when you’re active
Turn off Show when you’re active together
Save changes
Close and reopen Facebook if needed
Turn off chat availability in Messenger
Open Messenger
Tap your profile picture
Tap Active Status
Turn off Show when you’re active
Turn off Show when you’re active together
Use Facebook in a browser with chat turned off if needed
Log out when you are done
Avoid opening Messenger if you want to stay offline
Use airplane mode before opening the app if needed
