Turn off the water supply and unplug the washing machine
Move the machine into position near the water supply, drain, and power outlet
Check that the floor is level and adjust the machine feet if needed
Attach the hot and cold water hoses to the machine
Connect the other ends of the hoses to the matching hot and cold water valves
Tighten the hose connections by hand, then snug them with pliers if needed
Make sure the rubber washers are seated properly in the hose fittings
Insert the drain hose into the standpipe, utility sink, or drain outlet
Secure the drain hose so it cannot slip out during operation
Plug the washing machine into a grounded outlet
Turn on the water supply valves slowly
Check all hose connections for leaks
Run a short test cycle to confirm proper filling, draining, and spinning
Recheck the connections after the test cycle and tighten if necessary
