Do not induce vomiting unless a veterinarian or poison control expert tells you to
Call your veterinarian or an animal poison control hotline immediately
Have the dog’s weight, what was eaten, how much, and when it was eaten ready
Do not induce vomiting if the dog is unconscious, having seizures, struggling to breathe, or very weak
Do not induce vomiting if the dog swallowed a corrosive substance, sharp object, or petroleum product
Do not induce vomiting if the dog is brachycephalic or at high risk of aspiration
Do not induce vomiting if the dog has already vomited
Do not use salt, syrup of ipecac, or other home remedies
Only use hydrogen peroxide if specifically directed by a veterinarian
Follow the veterinarian’s exact dose and instructions if hydrogen peroxide is approved
Seek urgent veterinary care after any instructed vomiting attempt
Bring the product container or a photo of the label to the veterinarian
