Select the cell where you want the degree symbol
Press Alt+0176 on the numeric keypad
On Mac, press Option+Shift+8
Use the Insert tab, then click Symbol, and choose the degree symbol
Type =CHAR(176) in a formula if you need it in a formula result
Copy and paste the degree symbol from another source
Use the Windows Character Map to copy the degree symbol and paste it into Excel
