How to Install Pergo Flooring?

Acclimate the Pergo flooring in the room for the time specified by the manufacturer

Remove existing flooring, baseboards, and trim if needed

Clean, dry, and level the subfloor

Repair any damaged or uneven areas in the subfloor

Install underlayment if required for your Pergo product

Measure the room and plan the plank layout

Leave the required expansion gap around all walls and fixed objects

Start the first row with the tongue or groove facing the correct direction per the product instructions

Cut the first row planks to fit if needed

Use spacers to maintain the expansion gap

Lock the planks together row by row using the click-lock system

Stagger end joints between rows

Cut planks to fit around doorways, vents, and obstacles

Use a tapping block or pull bar if needed, following manufacturer guidance

Install the final row by measuring and cutting planks to width

Remove spacers after installation

Reinstall baseboards and trim without pinning the floor down

Install transition strips where required

Clean the floor according to Pergo care instructions
