Take out trash regularly and keep bins tightly closed
Fix leaks and eliminate standing water
Seal cracks, gaps, and entry points around doors, windows, and pipes
Place ant bait stations along trails and near entry points
Use boric acid bait according to label directions
Apply diatomaceous earth in dry areas where ants travel
Spray an ant-specific insecticide at entry points if needed
Clean ant trails with soapy water or vinegar to remove scent trails
Replace bait regularly until ant activity stops
Trim vegetation away from the house
