You generally cannot view messages that have been deleted from Instagram once they are removed from the chat
Check whether the message was only unsent by the other person, not deleted from your device
Review your Instagram data download to see if the message appears in your account archive
Open Instagram and go to Settings and privacy
Tap Accounts Center
Tap Your information and permissions
Tap Download your information
Request a copy of your Instagram data
Check email or download link from Instagram when the file is ready
Open the downloaded files and look for message-related data
Check any notifications, email previews, or screenshots you may have saved
Ask the other person in the chat if they still have the message
Use third-party recovery tools only with caution and only if they are trustworthy
Avoid apps or websites that claim they can restore deleted Instagram messages instantly
If the account was hacked or compromised, secure your account first and then review available data
If the message was reported or removed by Instagram, it may not be recoverable
