Measure the item to be packed
Add extra space for padding and clearance
Mark the box dimensions on cardboard
Draw the box layout with base, sides, and flaps
Cut out the cardboard sheet
Score the fold lines with a blunt tool
Fold the cardboard along the scored lines
Apply glue or tape to the side seams
Secure the bottom flaps with tape
Insert padding material if needed
Place the item inside the box
Close and seal the top flaps with tape
Reinforce edges and corners if necessary
