Sift 1 to 2 teaspoons matcha into a mug
Add 2 to 4 tablespoons hot water (about 70–80°C / 160–175°F)
Whisk vigorously until smooth and frothy
Heat milk (about 120–240 ml) until hot (or steam)
Pour steamed milk into the mug
Sweeten to taste (optional)
Stir gently
Serve immediately
