Gather 1 cup breast milk, 1 lb melt-and-pour soap base, soap mold, knife, microwave-safe bowl, stirring utensil, and optional fragrance or color
Cut the soap base into small cubes
Melt the soap base in a microwave-safe bowl in short intervals, stirring until smooth
Let the melted soap base cool slightly
Add the breast milk slowly while stirring continuously
Mix in any optional fragrance or color if desired
Pour the mixture into the soap mold
Tap the mold gently to release air bubbles
Let the soap set until firm
Remove the soap from the mold
Store the soap in a cool, dry place
Use clean, sanitized tools and fresh or properly frozen breast milk
