Insert a thin flat tool, such as a small screwdriver or knife tip, under the locking tab
Lift the tab slightly to release the teeth
Pull the zip tie tail back out slowly
If the tie is tight, press the locking tab down while easing the tail backward
Cut the zip tie with scissors or wire cutters if it cannot be released
Use a new zip tie if the old one is damaged or cannot be reused
