How To Make Butter With Heavy Whipping Cream?

Pour cold heavy whipping cream into a jar, bowl, or stand mixer

Whip the cream on medium-high speed

Continue whipping past the whipped cream stage until it separates into butter and liquid

Drain off the liquid buttermilk

Rinse the butter under cold water

Press and knead the butter to remove remaining buttermilk

Add salt if desired

Store the butter in a covered container in the refrigerator
