4 cups water
1 cinnamon stick
1/2 cup piloncillo or brown sugar
1/2 cup medium-ground coffee
1 small piece orange peel, optional
Combine water, cinnamon stick, piloncillo, and orange peel in a pot
Bring to a boil over medium heat
Reduce heat and simmer until the piloncillo dissolves
Remove from heat
Add the coffee grounds
Let steep for 4 to 5 minutes
Strain into cups
Serve hot
