Peel, core, and slice 4 apples
Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a skillet over medium heat
Add the apple slices to the skillet
Sprinkle in 2 tablespoons brown sugar
Add 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Stir to coat the apples evenly
Cook for 5 to 8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender
Add a pinch of salt if desired
Serve warm
