Combine 1 part coconut cream with 1 part sugar in a saucepan
Heat over low heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves completely
Add a small pinch of salt if desired
Simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring often
Remove from heat and let cool
Blend or whisk until smooth
Strain if needed for a finer texture
Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator
