Use filtered or distilled water
Boil the water, then let it cool
Fill a spherical ice mold slowly
Leave the mold in a cooler or insulated container
Freeze from top to bottom
Remove the ice ball from the mold
Trim cloudy edges with a cold knife or ice pick
Store the ice ball in the freezer until use
