1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 oz linguine or spaghetti
4 tbsp butter
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
1/2 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
2 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup chopped parsley
Salt, to taste
Black pepper, to taste
Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat
Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook for 30 seconds
Add shrimp, salt, and black pepper; cook 1 to 2 minutes per side until pink
Add white wine or broth and lemon juice; simmer for 1 to 2 minutes
Add cooked pasta and toss to combine
Add reserved pasta water as needed to loosen the sauce
Stir in parsley and serve immediately
