Cream 1/2 cup softened butter with 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1/4 cup granulated sugar
Mix in 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and 2 tablespoons milk
Stir in the cooled heat-treated flour and 1/4 teaspoon salt
Fold in 1/2 cup chocolate chips
Add more milk, 1 teaspoon at a time, if needed for texture
Chill briefly before eating, if desired
